External Hard Drive
ok Media server seems more than I would need, Thanks for the info Jay and Saraj, I would probably benefit from something like that if I had my own place but as I don't everything is in one room here
I just want to put all my documents, films music and photos on, I have usb on my tv so I can just plug that in to watch films, ebuyer doesn't seem to have any other bargains, Tesco seems a good option and I can just nip down and get it now, i'll do a little more research first
This is the one I had but the 500gb

a bit pricey thought for the 1tb, if you really need the 1tb, then go for the 500gb?
thats a good price mate, normally about £70 - 80 on ebuyer:thumbup:
No point in a media server to be honest, as you don't need that functionality in the actual hard drive. PCs, PS3, etc all have media streaming capabilities so it is overkill.
I'd recommend getting a network hard drive though if you will be sharing it between computers and your computers are generally off. I got a normal one as my main PC is on all the time so any other computer will be able to access it, but if you don't then network makes sense.
