What pitch are the threads on the bolts you've bought? As I'd expect some to be 1.25 and others to be 1.5. That's certainly what I've found in my car and the LS anyway. Most smaller ones tend to be 1.25

A WORD OF WARNING:

Cheap shiny bolts may be appealing (cheap and shiny - two of my favourite things!) but I tried to remove my top bumper brackets last week, to remove and clean up a dirty rad panel, and both of them snapped! Obviously cheap bolts that could not handle the moisture/heat of being in that location. They were black Allen key cap bolts, and looked quite nice with the black bodywork... until they snapped.

The first one was done by a friend, who was "helping" me! The second one, I soaked in WD40, several times, and left for a couple of hours. Then I tried to undo it as slowly and carefully as I could, taking care to rotate only, and not apply any pressure to the side... SNAP!

I drilled them out eventually, but the threads will never be the same again! I have not driven the car since, but luckily I have another. I have now bought some new, slightly longer M6 bolts, and nuts to hold them in, but the only way to access below the slam panel to fit the nuts is to remove the entire bumper!!! (Could probably get away with just removing the grill, but that is not possible with my TTE bumper.) It may be safe to drive as is, but I do not feel comfortable driving around with the radiator that loose. I was hoping not to have to remove the bumper until I fitted my intercooler, but it's looking like it will be off a couple of times in the next few weeks now!

Confusedad: It was a tough call to make, but the Supercharged IS200 is being retired. Confusedad:

I will happily give you a hand sorting kits out mate, and my car will be at Wickstead Park, 9 - 11th September, if you would like to use it to work out what bolts are required?

The failed bolts in question, I think, were fitted by my car's previous, previous owner somewhere between 3-6 years ago, and removed by the previous owner and refitted, without issue, (very approx) two years ago. My guess is that they were not designed for that purpose. I'm sure yours are fine!
