If only I wasn't fail at electronics I would be all over this.

This is why the box that Fargo makes / made would be ideal as it's just plug and play!

Thanx alot Bandit for this help. Read that thread, very good and helpful although a bit hard to understand it all. I would rather buy the box from fargo but failing that i will take a trip to maplin and make a box up but then i would need to know in simple terms where to connect. Thanx again.

I am finally sorted Bandit. After typing off the Altezza link, i studied it a bit more and then i did some digging on the MyIS forum and found a picture walkthrough of how to do it by 520is300 and it is easier than i thought. I will be off to maplin soon and make one up myself. Will let you all know how it goes. Thanks again.

Ok so I found the parts I need and ordered enough for multiple sets as it was dirt cheap.

I will make this as soon as the components arrive and if it works, i will send them to anyone that wants a set.

I will also want to wire up the sound for the nav unit as well - is it just a simple case of splicing the left and right wires from the nav unit harness into the stereo outputs? If so that should be dead easy!

Sorry mate, i would of loved to post up the link for everyone but i don't know how to do it. I am a bit of a novice on the computor but i am learning quick. For all those interested in the related threads. They are on the MyIS forum, 1 is Altezza bypass and the other is by 520is300. Hope this helps.

cheers mate, when I actually looked at the right diagram it was all very simple

Does anyone see any reason why the mute / acc etc should be connected on the, now, disconnected nav loom? I'm sure (convinced myself) that only the left and right speaker wires will need connecting.
