Ok... Basically I found an app for android called Torque. It connects via bluetooth to your odb2 port and gives you plenty of information over your android phone...
If you cough up the 3 quid prove for the full version it gives extra features as well...
I bought a cheap bluetooth odb2 adapter off ebay for a fiver, but it's been slightly unreliable, so I'm probably going to buy a more decent one as well. Great stuff...

How did you get on with it dave. I found it laggy and did not respond quick enough for rpm etc. Used via a bluetooth eobd adaptor

i have a scangauge for that.
Scangauge costs a bit more though mate... Total cost of what I have was 8 quid...
