Absolute bargain there Chris.

I'm goinging to be looking for one of these for myself in the next month or so. I've decided to sell my offroader as I really don't use it much now and get myself another fun weekend toy.

What size engine is it, 1.6 or 1.8? I can't decide which to go for.

I think I'm going to be looking for a mark 1 because everyone says that they are so much more basic fun to drive than the later mark 2 but I'm still not sure.

Looks like a 1.6 in that. Believe the 1.8 didnt come out until around 94. The mk1's are the ones to go for in my opinion and are an absolute blast round the lanes as you are no doubt finding out.

Looks like you've bagged yourself a bargain there mate. In regards to your window not working sounds like the cables from the motor have snapped, don't bother getting just cables its alot easier to replace the whole mechanism. If you need any spare parts, send me a PM and I will put you in touch with the chap I use for mine.

Also if getting a 1.6, make sure you get a pre 94 car as they had more power (115bhp as opposed to the 94 onwards 90bhp)

Very nice Chris, makes me want another one!

Having turbo'd, supercharged and ITB'd my own 5's over the years, they are very easy to tune yourself and give great bang for buck.

Cheers guys

Gave it an oil and filter change this morning, and found that it had a new exhaust system fitted, it still has the stickers on and there not even burnt off yet? so can't of been on it long??

Need to get hold of a pair of door mirrors for it as the ones that are fitted are useless  Already got a window mechanism coming, one of the cables has snapped? so should have that sorted soon  then i'll hopefully get the bumpers sorted out to tidy it up?

Going to need more overtime at this rate, and ebay isn't helping :laugh:
