Been ill / off work on and off for the last 6 weeks but starting to get over it now so decided to get cracking on the car today. Took all my mirror bits and pieces and a list (we know how those end up lol) over to my garage and got cracking.

However the only thing I managed to get done was relocating the pump for the chargecooler. It was about 3" off the road mounted on the gearbox where the ST205 has a transmission oil cooler. When I got under the car I could see it had been clouted a few times and I was gonna take it off anyway as one of the things on my list was rebuilding the loom for it so that I can convert to the Celica ECU.

It took me an hour or so to find a good location, I ended up disassembling the bracket and reversing / rotating bits of it and putting it back together. It's much more satisfactory where it is now but I had to shorten the hoses to get them to mate up in the new position. This meant draining and refilling / bleeding the chargecooler which is a pain! It's still got an airlock in it somewhere but I ran out of daylight.

Knackered now! Also some more of the existing pump loom fell to pieces while I was under there so that now really needs looking at lol

Yeah that's the plan. Need to have it in shape for the MissB tunnel run and our surrey rolling road trip Smile However I need to have done 2 exams by then as well...

Today is all about pulled muscles! Gonna attempt more coolant bleeding at lunchtime. Hopefully the 30mile trip + getting hot and cold and settling overnight will have worked some more air out.

Edit: Yep, pulled the plug out of the drain hose on the rad and there was a mad gurgling noise and now everything ist gut! Had to suck through some coolant to get a bit more air out, now need to get the taste of coolant out of my mouth...

Another change of plan... MR2 will be going in April. Will be advertising it once it's been rolling roaded in March. Hopefully a few more of the things on the list will be done by then!!

Found something else I want to try for a bit (and it's sadly not an S2000 Phil) but IMHO the car is not saleable at the moment, it still has more things that need sorting.

I wish I could make up my mind as to what to do with this car lol.

Didn't get much in the way of interest in the car, so have decided to get it really tidy for the shows this summer and if someone offers me the right money then it's gone.

So, it's at Pacific Works at the moment getting the ATS CV joints & new driveshafts fitted (£80 labour, bargain!), tomorrow it's off to get 2 new front tyres and a wheel alignment diagnostic as I believe there's a piece of front suspension bent (tie bar, control arm, something like that) and the camber is well out. Then on Monday it's going to Towcester Coachworks to get the paint flaw in the roof fixed and get the bumper repaired where I smashed it on a kerb. It should come back with a better paint match at the front end as well, all in time for the miss banzai tunnel run...

Oh yeah I have FINALLY got the seat rails back!!

All sounds like good work, I expect it'll feel like a new car with the bits and bobs sorted too. You'll prob end up not wantin to sell it  I've no doubt it will attract potential buyers too with it all touched up!!
