I have already done a few things to the car and have been taking pictures along the way, so when I've got them all on the computer which I'm in the process of doing now, I'll start the progress report for you to feast your eyes upon!!!

So this is pretty much what it looked like when I bought it, just given it a clean.
It already has a set of Team Dynamics Racing wheels, but I'm not keen on them and they are in bad shape. Although I can refurb them where i work, if i were to do this it would be after i replace them with new ones. So the refurbished ones would be sold to help further the project.

Purchased the Megan Racing preformance exhaust because i saw a video of it and just had to get it. Was a bit of an impulse buy but I'm committed now. Only problem is theres no nut for the rear lambda sensor. You can see where it is on the old one.

so I've bought the correct one it's on the way now it's all down to patience. Need to cut a hole weld the new bung in and fit it all up and hope all is well.

Also noticed it's gonna be a pain removing the stock exhaust because these bolts are all f***ed.

just wanted to put this up aswell and then I'm done for tonight i promise.
I had a little bash to the front wheel on a curb whilst sideways and it was a hefty knock. my wheel steering wheel was at a funny angle when straight and there were knocking noises and full lock kept locking, and just all in all it felt f***ed. Luckily on looking underneath it looked like I may have gotten away with just a standard lower arm bendege jobby. So ordered the new one in, wasn't too pricey like £80 i think.

Got it up in the air and prepared myself.

BE WARNED!! Even though you would think this would be a bolt off, bolt on job. It was not. Was super tricky and unnecessarily awkward. One of the bolts had to be heated for 20 minutes before it would come loose!

Eventually it was all on and i felt relieved because the full lock locking had stopped and so had the knocks and all seemed well. But my wheel was still like this when driving straight...

So it's booked in for a full wheel alignment and I'll fine tune the camber while I'm at it too!

Nice project..

Unfortunate about the curb accident... But we've all been there Smile

Not too keen on the wheels myself... But if they were straight black I think they would look better.. No chrome.

But that's just my opinion.

That's a lot of corrosion on the exhaust nuts... Just grind them off and replace with new bolts and nuts... Done it enough times now...

Keep us posted on your progress Wink

Yeah I actually agree with you on the wheels. At the moment though they are serving nicely as run arounds and its nice not have to care about curbing them because they are coming off as soon as I decide what their replacements are.

Also i feel like wheels are the finishing touch to set it off, when it's running like a champ I'll give it the shoes it needs XD
