Lexus IS200 GGP Build Thread (Portugal)

So, finally I'm gonna start and present my project here in OJC.

It's a GGP 99 IS200, it has what was called here in Portugal the Sport Pack II, as far as I can tell it has pretty much everything a UK Sport has except sunroof and LSD.

Currently, look wise it's pretty much stock but I have ordered a couple things to make it a bit more exciting. We'll get to that in a moment, but first lets check a few pictures of my second girlfriend.

Now, what have I done to it and what did I order so far..

First of all, I did all the oils and filters, timing belt and tensioners, all the must have maintenance of when you buy a used car.

Then, I got some low intensity less for the license plate, I wanted the OEM look and its pretty much there (could be better, but will do for now).

At the same time, I got some yellow fog bulbs. I didn't quite like the look of them, I wanted an yellower light and I still have to take my time to search the best one (and advice is welcome!)

Then I found OJC, I found the for sale sub-forum and to my personal huge satisfaction, I found Patricks cradle thread... Yeah I ordered that sweet supercharger nest right away.. It'll find a home in Portugal soon!

Since ordering I've been looking for M62 superchargers and the other bits to supercharge on my baby, I hope to get it done by the end of summer.

Meanwhile, the tires that came on the car were getting a bit on the bald side, so some new shoes for her. We all know how girls like shoes.

Hankook Ventus V12 Evo2. Not the best tires in the world, but pretty awesome fr the price. I didn't buy anything more expensive because I'll eventually change to 18" wheels so it didn't justify. Also these are more then enough for 99% of my driving as we here in Portugal can rarely hit the track.. Sad

Also ordered (I'll pick them up this Monday from the post office) were a set of Ebay 2.5" Mini-Bixenon HID projectors, recommended by a user from OJC. Can't wait to install them along with a 5000K HID kit (still have to order that!)

Finally, the last thing I have done to it so far is the exhaust. I've removed the rear silencer. Honestly, I like the sound. It's a bit lacking on higher RPM's but overall it sounds just nice.

I'll put up a clip of it asap, I really have to buy a suction cup mount for the gopro!..

For the future, my plans are really simple and not particularly in this order.

- Painting stock wheels black or anthracite (so I can hold for new ones for a bit longer)
- 18" Wheels, no idea which, I like a lot of them. Currently loving SSR Type C's
- TRD bodykit
- Eibach Springs + Koni Yellow Sports
- Eibach/TRD/Hotchkiss Sway bar kit
- Painting those calipers gloss black with lexus decals
- Carbon Side view Mirror covers (saw some on eBay, love 'em)
- Shortned antenna from IQ or S2000
- Exhaust manifold (secondary decat)

Then eventually, if all goes well, the coup de gras, a 1JZ-GTE coupled to an R154 (or better if $$ allows)
