Nah I was just looking at the appearance and the 0-60 figures lol. What didn't you like about it?

TBH I think I've probably got the right car with the LS. Its got tonnes of room inside and in the boot, its pretty nippy, its relaxing to drive, insurance is pretty cheap (for me), it'll hopefully give me a million trouble free miles. The only thing I'm not keen on is that it looks a bit granddad.

I just need to add a few of my own touches I suppose.

Just my opinion but I found it harsh and noisy - unless you do high miles/pay company car tax I'd go for the GS430/460 every time (seeing as you bought an LS430 I'm guessing you're not fussed about things like that).

But yeah give the LS some time, once you've turned it VIP it'll be right up your street Smile

One thing I'm linking about the LS is how easy it is to work on.

Serp belt change = 3 minutes
Throttle body removal + clean = 5 minutes

Spark plug change looks like a piece of cake too.

I'm not sure you will find every task on it as easy as that!

Confusedad: It was a tough call to make, but the Supercharged IS200 is being retired. Confusedad:

jimxms Serp belt change = 3 minutes

What were you doing for the other 2 and a half minutes? Spark plug change takes longer than expected because it's a pain getting the connectors off the coils without them snapping. The heat treatment they get on top of the engine makes them quite fragile.

Sooo I decided if I'm going to give the LS a fair chance I need to customise it to my tastes a bit.

One of my only gripes with the interior is the fake wood. So I decided to start wrapping it with the big roll of DI-Noc I've had laying around:

Started off like:

Ended up like:

Still got the doors to do yet, but its getting there.
