without a red cable coming from the bypass lead cant swap.
maybe the lead i bought is wired wrong .
the only other connections are sub + and sub - thats it.
cant swap the red and yellow leads over as i have done this in the past on other cars but this lead i bought has 2 yellow wires connected together and 2 black wires connected together and no reds so only when both the red and the yellow from head unit are connected to the combined yellow does it work but no memory.

ive never had this problem with any other car thought it would be so straight forward
right then i put the radio back in and with both red and yellow connected and ignition on radio fires up , ignition off radio turns off , i think i need to find a switched live anyone have any ideas cos this is doin my head in .

and the only other problem is the clock wont go off so had to rip it all out again .
i can get the amp out in seconds now and blindfold cos ive done it so many times.
i reckon i have a dodgy made bypass lead.
yeah i found a switched live and permanent live , fitted the radio it all worked apart from the balance was reversed and the rear drivers side speaker is off(i will check that later)
and the only other problem is the clock wont go off so had to rip it all out again .
