Insurance - what a joke!!!!!!!!!!
Got to renew on the 28th, so rang aviva to get my qoute as not had a letter yet,..............
£1,333!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
to make it even worse i get a new qoute online with them and its on £878???????????????? but they wont price match???????????????
flipping ridiculous
no-one can get close
one company can something or another to do with lads, but i will only use a reputable retailer out of choice
just rang lexus,...........looks like a trade in may be on the cards for something cheaper and german!!!
Its because its a legal requirement, theyve got us all over a barrel.
If its a legal requirement it should be issued by the goverment, and set fees for certain details(diving experience (not age), car value, etc)
Just renewed mine with hastings direct for £330 fully comp and protected no claims was pleased .
But did old style by ringing around playing one against the other i know it takes time but near the end of the month they try to hit there targets so some of them will reduce cost ,
But did hear that premiums have gone up because 30%of cars on the road are not insured
yeah £400 hike though is a bit excessive,
i can insure a 2.0tdi 170 sport passat for £575 fully comp, get 10mpg better and pay £40 a month less on finance
so i think thats a goer
im only 22 and im starting to realise i may aswell wait until im 25, have a cheapo oil burner for work and buy a petrol sporty car for weekends,
seems to be the only way due to insurance
I had this issue earlier in the year when it came to renew CTR. was paying £800 a year over night went upto over £1850!!!
Can't blame insurance completely - saw a crash this morning, car pulled out of a side street straight into the path of a van. No one was speeding, yet it happened.
Add c**p drivers, uninsured drivers, cars with serious defects like poor tyres/brakes or other mechanical issues and you get an idea of how many crashes occur that shouldn't happen. These all cost the insurance co.s money, and they take it out of us.
It's the whole system that needs reform, not just insurance - if they could make the same profit without it costing them as much, they would charge us less.
