Went to Toyota today, another £130 dropped on gaskets and studs and bolts and nuts... replacing every gasket in the exhaust tract - while I've had the inlet manifold off I've replaced that gasket with the phenolic one a few pages earlier so I don't need to buy that one from Toyota. All new studs and nuts (most of the nuts are single-use locking ones anyway) should make sure there's no more exhaust blowing!!

Rear spoiler should look like this once fitted. Obviously this guy has fitted a lot more parts (lexus style rear lights, black trim strips, carbon vents, black wheels, window tints) that I don't have but you get the idea. I'm not going to paint the panels on the end caps black though.

The only place for "Lexus" lights is on a Lexus.:Shooting: even then its debatable......

lol, no... I'm not a fan of Lexus lights on Lexuses, let alone anything else!

I'm not sure on the rev5 spoiler yet but it was cheap. If I decide I don't like it I'll shift it on and put the rev3 back on!

I have done a few more things now:

Bought all new gaskets, studs and nuts for head -> manifold, manifold -> turbo and turbo -> downpipe. 3 gaskets, 19 studs and 19 nuts! NOT CHEAP. Got the gaskets for the rev5 spoiler -> bootlid as well, they were quite cheap.
Ordered a nice shiny stainless 3.75" v-band clamp to hold the turbo together.
Ordered a new speedo 'clamping' converter & delimiter. The existing one messes with the power steering.
Posted all the cast exhaust parts (manifold, turbo exhaust housing, downpipe & Blitz decat) off to Zircotec for ceramic coating. 22.5KG!!
Posted the injectors off to get cleaned, balanced and new o-rings/seats.

They aren't my injectors as we decided leaving the fuel system open for potentially quite a long time was a bad idea. Rather than taping up all the injector holes and the fuel rail etc I've sent off a spare set of injectors then they can just be swapped out.

Sounds good!

What rear bumper do you have? Have you got the Tom's with Tom's skirts with border front?

i was going to go down this route, but i think i want a different front end, Perhaps mod the original one with a lip.

It does look nice from the little picture i can see lol I might have to look into that. I'm going down the smoothed bump strips route, but so i'm still able to take off the bumpers and skirts.

Take a look at the garage link in my signature...

I'm not too keen on the smoothed look (cover your ears Phil!) as I think it ruins the side lines of the car but each to their own Smile

I'm not fully smoothing it in, There will still be a 'Join' line. It'll look like this one..
