For anyone who's interested, I've got the emissions figures from my MOT. I had the correct test done, i.e. the old test with really big limits, instead of the stricter test.

CO: 0.36% (Limit 3.5%)
HC: 64ppm (Limit 1200ppm)

I'll have the results from last years MOT I expect, but that's not really very indicative as there's a few thousand miles between them!

Speedo converter installed and everything back together, all working lovely and only had to solder 1 wire in the dash loom. Tactile difference to steering response, feels more planted. That might just be psychological though :lol:


Phil, do you have the emissions figures for when you had trouble with your MOT? Would be interesting to compare!

Speedo converter installed and everything back together, all working lovely and only had to solder 1 wire in the dash loom. Tactile difference to steering response, feels more planted. That might just be psychological though :lol:

  • Amp board & subs reinstalled Needs to be redone, power now redone
  • Speaker wire repair for driver's door components DONE x 2
  • Alarm siren & engine bay switch working DONE
  • Alarm total closure DONE
  • HKS CAMP installed DONE
  • Omori 45mm boost gauge fitted in-dash DONE
  • HKS SSQV fitted DONE
  • Accessory Fuse & Relay box installed DONE
  • Fan kit fitted DONE
  • Intercooler out DONE
  • Exhaust flexi repair DONE
  • Wire up rear foglights using UK MR2 parts (indicator in instrument panel, proper toyota switch etc) DONE
  • New Oil & Water pumps DONE
  • New rear pads & discs DONE
  • Fit Brakes International refurbed rear brake calipers DONE
  • New heater controls, boot & fuel flap release & driver's carpet DONE
  • Gearbox bellhousing repair DONE
  • TRD torque mounts DONE
  • Fidanza flywheel fitted with ARP bolts DONE
  • Goodridge braided clutch line DONE
  • Goodridge braided brake lines DONE
  • Electric mirror control repair DONE, New controller fitted
  • Fit new brake master cylinder DONE
  • Modify new seats with Waeco heater elements DONE
  • New Alternator belt DONE, tightened
  • New ECU water temp sensor DONE
  • Front bumper repair (fibreglass) DONE
  • Diagnose chargecooler leak DONE
  • Fit new seats, including figuring out how to mount the seatbelt clips DONE
  • Fit wiring loom + switches etc for new seats Still needs doing passenger side
  • 2 new front tyres + wheel alignment DONE
  • New aircon belt DONE
  • New driveshafts and ATS CV joints DONE
  • Relocate chargecooler pump to aleviate ground clearance problems DONE
  • Convert to ST205 ECU DONE
  • Fit OEM retracting wingmirrors DONE
  • Fit Walbro fuel pump
  • Alarm boot release Broken rear lock removed, pull release connected up in a much more sensible way than Toyota's & solenoid added, just needs cabling to the new fusebox
  • Side strip mounts repaired
  • Front Foglights reinstalled
  • Reversing camera reinstalled
  • Engine bay cleanup (powder coated rocker cover + inlet manifold + chargecooler, hoses colour coordinated, some new gaskets & clean up oil leak) DONE
  • Painted and stickered calipers
  • Fit new rear brake sliders & pins Painted, still need fitting
  • Properly fix brake hoses to mounting points on car
  • PDR to boot lid and bonnet (paintless dent removal)
  • Convert to heated wingmirrors
  • Replace crossthreaded stud in front wheel spacer DONE
  • New wheel nuts (thinking RAYS gunmetal ones) DONE
  • Finish wiring up head unit properly (i.e. reversing camera)
  • Fit KCA-BT200 Kenwood / Parrot bluetooth unit
  • New front pads
  • Replace front driver's side wheel bearing, possibly passenger rear as well
  • Replace balljoints
  • Replace bent front suspension arms with new adjustable arms & replacement Toyota ones
  • Finish polybushing & write a guide!
  • Visit to WIM again following above 4 items

There's less of that these days, since I redid the power wiring for the amp board. Still some there but it doesn't rise with volume, it's at a constant level, so I just turn the music up Wink
