I have got rid of my 2500rpm stutter and the butt dyno is telling me that my escaped horses have returned!! I had tapped into the MAP sensor's vacuum line for my boost gauge. I replaced this so the boost gauge is running off a different vacuum line and the the MAP sensor has its own dedicated feed, which is filtered. All my running problems have gone away
So, user error, but an easy fix.I also changed the front brake pads as they were an advisory on the MOT. Turns out there's a MASSIVE lip on the inside of both front discs, so the pads are worn unevenly. Also there's a seized slider on the passenger side caliper carrier, so the pads on there haven't worn flat onto the discs. So, more expense!

Finished the polybushing and fitting the new bolts / sliders / carriers for the rear brakes yesterday with Dan's help. So that's 2 jobs I started about 6 months ago finally finished! Although I think I've missed 2 washers off as I can't find them so it may have to be revisited at a later date.

- Goodridge braided brake lines DONE
- Electric mirror control repair DONE, New controller fitted
- Fit new brake master cylinder DONE
- Modify new seats with Waeco heater elements DONE
- New Alternator belt DONE, tightened
- New ECU water temp sensor DONE
- Front bumper repair (fibreglass) DONE
- Diagnose chargecooler leak DONE
- Fit new seats, including figuring out how to mount the seatbelt clips DONE
- Fit wiring loom + switches etc for new seats Still needs doing passenger side

- Relocate chargecooler pump to aleviate ground clearance problems DONE

- Engine bay cleanup (powder coated rocker cover + inlet manifold + chargecooler, hoses colour coordinated, some new gaskets & clean up oil leak) DONE

- Replace crossthreaded stud in front wheel spacer DONE
- New wheel nuts (thinking RAYS gunmetal ones) DONE
- Fit Walbro fuel pump
- Alarm boot release Broken rear lock removed, pull release connected up in a much more sensible way than Toyota's & solenoid added, just needs cabling to the new fusebox
- Side strip mounts repaired
- Front Foglights reinstalled
- Reversing camera reinstalled
- Painted and stickered calipers
- Properly fix brake hoses to mounting points on car
- PDR to boot lid and bonnet (paintless dent removal)
- Convert to heated wingmirrors
- Finish wiring up head unit properly (i.e. reversing camera)
- Fit KCA-BT200 Kenwood / Parrot bluetooth unit
- Replace front driver's side wheel bearing, possibly passenger rear as well
- Replace balljoints
- Replace bent front suspension arms with new adjustable arms & replacement Toyota ones

I finished off polybushing the car, finally! There's more to come with this as I replace the bent suspension parts that I found (plus some tasty Cusco parts to come) but it's done for now and I wrote a guide: http://www.outlawjapclub.co.uk/forum/sho...php?t=6972
I replaced my front brake pads to discover the discs have an epic lip around the inside so they are on the list. I also got an advisory on my last MOT about my driver's side front wheel bearing. This had got so bad that by now there is at least 5mm play in the hub (which is much worse when multiplied by the size of the wheel) so this evening Hurricane very kindly came up to the J-unit with a spare front hub and we swapped them over. This means that I can safely drive to the meet this weekend without worrying about my wheel falling off
Many thanks Pete!I have a few more easy bits to finish off (switch for reversing camera, wiring + relay for boot popper, power LED for passenger side heated seat) and that's my little jobs finished off. I've seen a really clever fan controller I want too, made by SPAL specifically for their fans. It's FAN-PWM-V3 and will happily control my 2 SPAL fans. It will control 1 fan at variable rates (working off the OEM coolant temp sensor, which is pin THW on the ECU) until it reaches a certain threshold at which point it will kick the 2nd fan in as well. It even has an output I can wire up to the fan warning light in the dashboard
and it retails for half the price of devices like the HKS fan controller.
Have been finishing off odd little jobs here and there to get the car in shape. It's started annoying me that there are a lot of jobs I've started but not finished yet.
