Blimey, thought it wouldn't be easy:confused1:.......lol.

No, the only problem that has happened twice recently is that as I have slowed to pull into a parking space, braking and turning the steering wheel, because of the low revs the engine has almost died, hence losing power steering/brakes.

Any ideas other than a reset?.......Mind you I've not reset it since I added the extra air flow with the ram air jobby, could this be something?

Steve, the revs go up slightly with the A/C on.

A reset is definitely worthwhile, can't hurt and it might just help.

steviewevie The accelerator pedal operates a cable which is connected to the throttle body. A sensor there measures the opening on the cable, which feed a signal to the ECU. The ECU then tells the throttle body control motor how much to open the throttle.

In the event of a malfunction the electrical control drops out, and the mechanical throttle cable directly operates the throttle itself.

Similar to the Mk2 Aristo then. No adjustment screw? how's the cable adjusted? don't happen to have a photo?

Your air filter shouldn't effect it in reality, but then...........

If you're stationary and turn the steering, do the revs pick up?

Does it only do it when warm?

Although I LOL at the internet phenomenon of 'resetting the ECU' for any fault, it may be worth it, but could be many things, vac leak, idle control motor etc etc

Pretty sure there isn't an idle control motor, just a throttle body motor. I similarly don't think the ECU reset will magically fix it, but it doesn't hurt to try Big Grin

Steve I noticed on the "Info Checking" that it says "650 +-50" so maybe it's not too low?

I did try adjusting the cable awhile back but that didn't help much as it doesn't actually increase the revs at rest.

Yeah, I'd already seen that. But you said you think it almost stalled ? Which wouldn't be right. As you say an idle speed of 600 should be ok according to the manual.

Yeah, I'd already seen that. But you said you think it almost stalled ? Which wouldn't be right. As you say an idle speed of 600 should be ok according to the manual.
