Inky has a great place to live, and a pair of Supras to play with.

"Life's goal is not to arrive safely at the grave in a well preserved body. But, rather to skid in sideways........
totally worn out and broken, shouting 'Holy ****, WHAT A RIDE!'"

Well I thought its about time for an update.

There are 2 things that I just can't post yet but are so exciting for us its unreal - but if something goes wrong in the next 6 weeks or so (visa things) these things won't happen so just for now this is my View on Arizona, or to be exact Scottsdale:

The 1st thing you notice is just how clean this city is, no litter anywhere, the people who live here really have a great community spirit and just don't litter!! the huge littering fines probably help also.....

The HEAT is unbelievable, no wonder Lexusboy sends Fords out here for climate testing, seriously 100f at midnight is common during the summer. In the winter its far more reasonable, bit like British Summer but without the rain. There is a lot of wind, but its warm wind, it cooks you, I don't think contact lenses are a good idea as my eyes dry our quickly, without contacts. The ONLY saving grace is the humidity that is really low, averaging 10% ish.

TV is the worst rubbish EVER in the WORLD EVER. They go to adverts constantly, the worst is a program will finish and just before the credits they go to adverts then come back just to run the credits. There is no "Watershed" in place that I can see, having watched films like kill Bill 1 and 2 at lunch time, followed by "It" at 3pm................ parental guidance is necessary I would say.

The good news is there are several UK Proxy servers you can log onto, some paid for and this one for FREE and excellent quality so well worth installing on your laptop if you intend to view BBC et all overseas. I don;t feel guilty because I paid my license till the end of this year, so really not breaking stupid BBC rules- only taking what I have paid for:lol:

Cars buying is a minefield, because fuel is cheap, ($3.25 a gallon) the cars I like are still really expensive, an IS300 is still $15K (top of my budget), the IS250 $15 to 25K..... The only affordable Lexus is the Camry based ES300 at $12.5K or the ES330 at £17K - both ugly things with the silly underpowered 3 and 3.3L V6's - the Mustang here is so common seriously one every other car doesn't make me want one any more unless its supercharged - the Charger is another common one but.............. well its just not the right shape.
Looks like its going to be a SLK430, or Jaguar XJ8/s-Class both to be had relatively cheaply between $12 and 15K for a low mile example. Jap cars fetch serious money out here, not cheap like the UK. For a Supra you have to budget $20K+ even for an un-modified example:blink: There are a few Infinities going for the 15k budget. Oh well another month to go before I buy a car,and if one of the things I am working on comes true it may well be a new vehicle..................... Got to pass the theory and practical driving test to get an AZ license then I can insure a AZ car.

Thats it for now, got to catch up on paperwork.
