Bought a Modellista speedo off eBay, and getting the milage changed so it's the same as my current speedo displays now.

Does the new speedo need to be fitted into the car to be adjusted?

Or should I just leave it out of the car untill after the milage has been sorted?

Not THIS ONE?

I always thought the milage was stored in the ECU, not the speedo itself. Though I'm not sure why I thought this. What does it read when you plug it in?

Confusedad: It was a tough call to make, but the Supercharged IS200 is being retired. Confusedad:

Not that particular one, but another one exactly the same.

I haven't plugged it in yet, but the milage travels with the speedo itself on these AFAIK.

Although I'm gunna go test it now anyway as it would probably be a good idea to at least check it works first...

But the revs wont be in the middle then as the board itself is different Jay,

Yes the mileage is in the speedo, i reckon itll need to be out of the car to change but its not hard to remove again

I've just given it a test run, all seems to be working okay except the ABS light won't go off on the new speedo. And it needs a foglight bulb putting in as the tezza it came off didn't have front fogs.

And the revs aren't calibrated properly, rev limiter on the IS200 is about 6500 ish?

Which matches the redline on the standard speedo, however when I'm on the limiter with the new speedo fitted, it displays that I'm doing almost 10,000 rpm!

Ah thats because it can off a 4 cylinder not 6!

you need a converter for it mate,

it thinks it needs to see 4 pulses per revolution, but our cars put out 6 so it thinks its revs are half again of what it actually is.
