Anyone got first hand experience of Greddy exhausts? (noise levels)
Anyone got first hand experience of Greddy exhausts? (noise levels)
Looking for a new exhaust for my car, something with a bit of grunt and not too raspy.
Initial choice was an HKS Silent Hi-Power.
But I also quite like a couple of the Greddy range, namely the Evo2 and the Spectrum Elite.
Spectrum Elite is advertised as a 'sports' exhaust in that its not too noisy but still gives a nice note, much like the Blue Flame I think.
However I REALLY like the sound of the Evo2 under load, sounds very muscley. But the quality of youtube videos makes it impossible to tell how noisy it is on idle. Some videos it sounds almost OEM, others it sounds like a dragster is sat next to me.
I've got my laptop hooked up to a decent hi-fi system so sound reproduction is fine.
But I wondered if anyone has actually stood next to either of the Greddy exhausts and can say for sure what they sound like?
My thought process at the moment is as follows...
Silent Hi-Power: Sounds great but perhaps a bit OTT with the sizing given the rest of my car is fairly suttle
Spectrum Elite: Smaller tip would look more at home under my TTE skirt, and the noise sounds spot on
Evo2: The best sounding IMO but again, maybe a bit OTT on my car
Have you seen this video it is the is300 not is200

Haden't looked at the Greddy Ti actually, although most of the videos I've been looking at on youtube have all been of IS300s because americans seem to be more into their performance exhausts (probably just because they are more readily available)
Waiting on a few prices from american suppliers to see if importing is a viable option for an exhaust.
