Hy everyone, just come up with an idea this morning, well this came from the Mrs.

As many of you know I have been searching for a job for ages, I currently work within a callcentre 16 hours per week at the weekends, 2 days out of 7.

Now they have full time positions available which I requested then im sorted on the job front, however they denied this request because they need more people at the weekend then full time, so cant afford to release me to monday to friday.

Now the idea is, working 7 days?? I am willing to do this, as it gives me a great opputunity to get myself straight financially, and ideally was looking to do this anywhere with another job during the week.

Now I know theres law on about hours of work and stuff, but if i put it in writing that I would like to request to 56 hours per week 7 days, would this suffice? or is the law strict and there is a limit?

any advice please, or personal experiances

Yes I used to do that, I think European law can restrict your office hours but you can opt out. Offshore not under the same restrictions Mr. M they still want their pound of flesh

nice one guys, i thought i can count on you lot !

so best course of action is write it in letter, state i would like to opt out of the 48 hours rule and state i would like a secondary position during the week.

im applying for asda today, so might hold on and see what happens there, not the ideal job but nothing wrong with it. if not then ill be preparing a letter tonight anywhere

thanks !!

guess what !!! forget the letter !

went into work and was told the company needs 2000 hours of overtime per week ! woow !

now I can work 7 days a week 56 hours per week, and not get normal rate, get time and half up to 40 hours, then anything above 40 hours will be double !! which for me is about 16 quid ! and this overtime requirement is untill end of november !!!

starts day dreaming..........GOLD IS200

haha only joking, get my debts cleared first !

just need to put the hard work in now, but its easier when you working and you getting paid double !
