hi all


has anyone ever changed these?
i have crackling noise on passenger side i had it checked
ball joints are ok
i had the anti roll bar bushes changed and end tie rod inner and outer changed and wimed

i changed these a few weeks ago. if the car is wandering or you are getting some clunks then it could be these bushings... but it also could not be.

to replace them is quite easy, you could do it on stands but far far easier on a lift.

you will need a blow torch to burn out the middle of the bush, once thats out use a hacksaw to cut a slot in the outer of the bush then you can tap the bush outer in on its self.

you will need a press to put the new one back in - grease up the inside of the arm.

best to replace the bushes in pairs.

I went for the topspeed/hardrace bushing kit for 100 USD for both sides and both arms...

there is a diy on my.is but being yanks they make it sound so difficult and that the world is going to end, followed by lots of self congratulating.

hi mate
ya the car is wandering and i am getting some clunks too
i thought it was the geometry but had it wimed (wheels in motion)
by wandering you mean bouncing up and down and side to side on uneven roads
