Hi guys, I haven't posted my updated plans yet.

I have realised that previous choices were horribly wrong - hence I have decided to go for the R154 with an IS200/300 Rear Diff and suspension/sub-frame etc.

Thanks for pointing it out though, and thank you for the advice too, I am totally new to the 1UZ-FE and R154 Mating process etc so anything you can tell me is great.

I had originally chosen the W58 because they are more cost effective and I have heard a lot of good about them at cruising speeds. I was aware that they weren't hugely strong, but only recently have I seen how badly they go bang when they go...

The Celica Diff was chosen because I know they handle the power well and best of all they are cheap. But I feel safer with going with something more substantial and modern - so IS200/IS300 maybe even LS*** is what I will go for. As before though, I will be using the whole Sub-Frame, Diff, Cradle and Strut set up etc. Smile

As for the Flywheel thanks! You've saved me a lot of repair bills  I'm still having to perfect my ideas... I'm used to 4A-GE's lol

I have a man on the inside for the Prop  I can find out the details for you tomorrow evening of exactly who is going to do it.

Thank you for the support everyone, I'm getting on with it this week, although I only have the week of 1/2 term. I am selling the engine this Sunday and the Gearbox is still up for sale though.

First step it to strip her down bare and start marking out where I'm slicing and dicing.. Big Grin

I have a complete Y2000 LS400 rear subframe here in Buckingham if you want to pop over and take measurements or whatever. My suspicion is that it would be about 2 miles too wide Smile ISx00 is nice and skinny though.

Does the corolla have struts all round or is it a rear beam setup like French cars of its size?

Thank you mate very kind! I will have to pop round and have a gander, I have the AE92 Chassis manual (But we keep that quiet from Mr T.) with all the general measurements for comparison.

It has struts all round thank god, makes it a great hoot I kid you not  Give one of these half the chance and the back end swings round on a roundabout. I happen to know this one took a smack to the front wheel from that.. (not me though, I do respect my cars  )

I think I will go with the ISX00 set up then, just to keep it simple Big Grin

I'm sure that you'll all have seen this anyway, but for the record I have decided just to go with this and be done with it. I am certain this will handle the punishment I want to give it later in life so I'll go with it.

Engine and Box first mind, I may find a better cheaper way whilst I save up lol.

Until then I need to get slicing and dicing :thumbup1:

Well I've removed a load of stuff today, the vents, firewall, sound proofing and a host of other gubbins.

I have removed the felt type stuff because it looked like it'd turn the car into a tinder box  I'll get the Brakes, Clutch and Tank drained next time, I'll also remove the tank itself along with the exhaust and handbrake. Should have everything clear for cutting then.

Should be able to make a cardboard cut out tonight Big Grin Anyway some pictures:
