Thanks for reopening the thread. It's such a good thread and gives so much information on the history of the car I think it would be a shame for it to dwell at the bottom of the list never to be read again...

I intend to keep things updated as I go along. Not that I will be doing anything quite so mad as Toxo has in the past Smile.

My current MR2 is for sale, once sold I can start doing little bits to Toxo's old MR2 which is currently sitting on my mothers driverway with a dead battery.

I'm currently giving the car a full detail so it's looking sharp for when it finally goes back on the road (currently sorn).
Claybar has been done, and currently using a Rotary polisher and a 3 step polish/paint correction process from Menzerna which will be topped off by some Dodo Juice Wax.

I'm also cleaning up a new boot lid and engine lid as the paint work on the current ones aren't the best!

Good to see an update - however selling as a non paid member really isn't allowed...............

I didn't realise there was a paid subscription option on here to be honest. I'll remove the link (looking for the edit button!).

Hopefully I can keep this update, more than likely in the new year at a guess. I wonder if I can crack the bumper as many times as Toxo! Tongue

cracking the bumper that much would take some dedication. Its a good car that one.

No edit button? That's crazy  I'm sure a mod will be along shortly to remove it for me.

I tested on my drive after driving it home and cleared by a good 3 - 4mm Big Grin

That bumper just ******* loves being cracked! It had a machine polish in May so shouldn't be that much work (with the exception of the engine lid, obviously)!

It's not to bad, the roof isn't great but the rest has come up well. I'm just working on the spare boot lid but that's swirled to buggary, then will start on the new engine lid for it.

My white car sold yesterday so I can now start work on this. I've changed the wheels for the Gray Rota's off the white one but will change them or have them sprayed silver at some point.
I moved the car from my mums to mine, the engine management light on the whole way which might be caused by there being a connection issue with the battery somewhere.. after turning the ignition off it wouldn't come back on, some wiggling of the earth to battery connection and it came to life then died again. Some investigating to be done!
