I haven't tried disconnecting the battery (I hate it when I have to put all the settings back into my head unit !), but there's no solenoid/motor noise when I push that black/red button to manually unlock a door, I'm pretty sure that's just a cable operating the lock. At least that's how it seems on my car ?

In reference to point 1, this is just a test (which I again forgot to do today) just to see how the deadlocks behave - in normal use I can't imagine anyone actually doing that :laugh:
Not sure about point 2 though, I agree with you that if you've just locked the doors with the interior lock button, they will just unlock again if you slide the lock the other way - I've actually tried that before when I've had the battery disconnected.
Rabster the double locking from what i gather requires all 5 wires so it must sense the position of the lock will further investigate at the weekend my plan is coming together:w00t:
