Flat battery?
Flat battery?
Used my car last at the weekend and it was fine, started perfectly, no hint of an issue whatsoever. Went out to the car this evening, hit the button on the key and nothing. Wondered if the key battery might be flat but peered in through the window and the red "security" light on the dash isn't flashing making me think the car's the one with no power.
My battery is only a year old (to the day!) and was absolutely fine a few days ago - could it really have gone from fine to completely flat in the space of a few days? It's not even particularly cold.
I could understand if the car reluctantly unlocked and then didn't start, but for it not to even unlock and the immobiliser light be off seems a little odd?
Prius did this a couple of times, never did find out why!!
could buy some thing like this and attach direct to battery and leave it to see if you have a drain on there

i've had 4 battery's in 2 years. the last one had a dead cell, the other was dead and the one before did the same in the winter, not sure whats wrong with them but they are not charging even with a charger, so new battery going in soon, battery is in the back of my other car
If its only a year old take it back!
Mine does this too.
Common on the IS200's it would seem.
You should retail your 'leisure' battery install Stav
I'm pretty sure nothing was left on, unless there's a fault somewhere that kept something on. I am doing really low mileage at the mo but still the battery was showing no signs of weakness.
I'll give it a charge over the weekend and see what happens, and yep may have to take it back for a new one!
