Finally got round to doing something today so a little. Managed to wire up the front speakers to the stereo so I finally have some music to listen to as I drive . In the end I left all the sub cables in place in case I change my mind some time down the line.
I'm not sure what Toxo did with the rear speakers as these are not currently wired up (they may not even exist) - I'll investigate once the whether becomes a little warmer.
I also popped the headlights that came with the car back in having had to change them for the MOT due to the clear lenses.
I was given some Celica car mats in the week that had a tatty Celica logo on them, something like this:
I was rather bored at work this week so decided to turn them in to MR2 mats and by making my own logos. The tatty Man in Dandism mats can now go!
Quite pleased with them.
Still awaiting the local bodyshop who are ignoring my calls at the minute... Just need to get the rev5 spoiler sprayed.
Next job is to remove the front and rear braces and prep ready to be chromed
Glad you managed to get your head around the stereo The car has no rear speakers and never has had - they were only ever part of the 'active'/'premium' system. They're a waste of time anyway, it's too small a space to have 6 speakers all competing for your attention.
Those mats look great! Despite the tattyness, stick the dandism mats up on IMOC, someone will buy them People love their original JDM options.
I found the Toyota touch up kit today if you want it?
Ah thats good, agreed that they are pointless :-). I'll give the mats a clean and see how they look.
Yes mate if you dont mind? And it's a good match of course. I will be popping down the local paint suppliers and getting an aerosol mixed to the right colour at some point.
Did you recieve the amp?
To be honest it's not that good a match to the front of the car. You can't really see the variance front to back but if you put it on the front it's quite obviously different. Matches the back end great though! It is proper Toyota paint (& a tube of clearcoat as well) so it will match the small parts of the car that are original paint perfectly.
Amp received and installed today! Thanks, it's transformed the stereo in the Fiesta
