I've had a change of plans and I'm now looking to get a different muffler so this is surplus to requirements.

Link

Brand new and never fitted. £80 delivered (I paid £100 last week)

MINE if you have the rest - i.e. the cut out section.

The pipe that replaces the exhaust section, and has a short section the valve fixed onto looks like a badly drawn "y"?

Sorry I would supply a link but having to use VERY VERY slow mobile internet as no broadband for 2 more weeks. It takes ages to refresh pages, if it dosen't time out 1st!!

your thinking of a different setup phil.

this is just the valve that goes in the exhaust and restricts the gases.

the kit your thinking of is designed to act like a screamer pipe and let more gases out the side of the exhaust with the "Y" piece, completely missing out the silencer

Oh right, Thats different to this one, I did see that type of valve when I was doing my research. This one sits in line in the exhaust and opens/closes to reduce volume. I think the type you're thinking off switches between sending the exhaust gases through the muffler or out to atmosphere.

Edit: Stav you beat me to it.

Indeed that's the one!!

Trans Am isn't loud enough, it has the Flowmaster equivalent of the HKS Silent Hi Power installed, great for everyday driving as cabin noise is kept down and great for long distance cruising - sometimes a little more noise would be nice!!

Will buy one of the Ebay ones when I have secure internet again. Thanks anyway Kev.
