Auto box + Aftermarket ECU?

I promise I'll stop banging on about gearboxes eventually, I've just had a brainwave....

How much of a problem is it to use an after-market ECU when you have an electronically controlled auto gearbox? Specifically, I'm thinking of the 6 speed shiftronic from a late spec LS430.

Will I have to keep the 3uzfe ecu to run the gearbox? That's going to mean having the is200 ECU, LS430 ECU and a link ECU running side by side, which obviously I'd like to avoid.

Why the auto box?

I'm just considering all the options. If I'm going manual, I'm probably going to source a T56. Not had a look at audi boxes though, will have to have a look at the ratios.

The reason I was looking at this autobox in particular is because it's got a sequential manual mode, so I wouldn't lose the driving experience. I think it is going to be A LOT cheaper to get that in the car than converting the 1uz to a manual.

Only other consideration is the extra 30kg + that the autobox weighs over the manual.

I'll check the ebay link out when I get home, it's blocked at work. Thanks Stav! The audi/porche transmission seems to be a borg-warner anyway, so it looks very similar to a T56.
