Anyone got what wires do what when providing power etc to the oem sat nav?

Unusually, i have the plug that goes in to the sat nav enclosure so would like to try and keep it rather than soldering/etc to the pins.

It's sooooo nearly there guys i can smell it (not literally this time!)

This should help from Patrik:

The only pins you want to use are the following:
Permanent live (12v+) - Top right corner
Switched live (Acc.) - Bottom right corner
Ground - Bottom left corner

****! I just noticed my Imageshack account needs to be upgraded to a premium account or they will remove the first 1200 pictures I uploaded. I guess that's why many of my older pics won't show :cursing:

I've now paid for a 3 month premium account. Hopefully my old DIYs will start working again until I figure out a better solution.

Edit: If it hasn't showed up tomorrow I'll take a new picture for you.

I thought i'd say I'm not thinking the above will work for me wiring wise, whatta reckon?

This is what i've got wire wise on the plug:

Picture uploaded again
[Image: dscn4441y.jpg]

Permanent live (12v+) - Top right corner
Switched live (Acc.) - Bottom right corner
Ground - Bottom left corner

These pins are used to make sure the motorized console opens and closes when the ignition is switched on/off. Another pin makes the buttons light up, but I'm not sure which one it is. That should be pretty easy to find out though.

I connected the ground wire for my Sony sat nav to the pin with the blue wire in the picture, but on the other side of the connector. That's why it cannot be seen in the picture. The plus wire for the sat nav is connected to the other end of the switched live pin (bottom right corner).

The console opens and the sat nav starts up upon ignition and when I turn the car off so does the sat nav and the console closes.
