Ever since i fitted and after market headunit in the is200 i'v had rubbish radio reception?

It's a brand new unit so not faulty as it had rubbish reception with thge previous Kenwood mp3 unit?

Does the std powered ariel not like after market units?

Have you given the existing antenna a power source as it draws it from the radio noally if you haven't then it won't work right......

So wheres the power wire that needs a feed?
And is it a 12v feed it needs?

It's a black cable running along the antenna cable it needs a 12v ignition feed or the antena out on aftermarket radios give 12v

Cable located right hand side of the radio opening

Hi Rabs, had a quick look just now through the single din opening and couldnt see or feel any extra black cable that runs along the antena cable?
Is it way in the depths behind the faceplate?

It is easier to see with the whole lot removed. (double din out).

It has a white connector on it well mine did all I did was run the feed to the radio can't remember which but its very simple I even get AM which I didn't get before

Thanks Pat, where abouts did you find the connector, i,v got a feeling that i saw it when iv had the stereo out a few times and its behind the heated seat area at the back!
