I've got a Scangauage 2 and from what I understand these can be set up to read extra information such as boost pressure but they need to be configured specifically for the car. Has anyone done this on their car and what were the results? What's the configuration needed for the IS200?

I don't see anything about boost on there or even MAP sensor...There is something about barometric pressure though.

I don't think this would work. Scangauge reads data from the ECU doesn't it? And on a charged car the ECU sees a false boost signal due to the black box mod, and so the scangauge would show that figure, not true boost. You need one that samples vacuum from the inlet manifold/throttle body. I may have a nice HKS one for sale soon if I get a 300 as boost on that would be months or years away!

Confusedad: It was a tough call to make, but the Supercharged IS200 is being retired. Confusedad:

Ahh! I never thought about that Stoney, good point! Is the HKS one easy to fit? Where have you got yours fitted? So you getting rid of your IS200 and replacing it with an IS300??

Nah you'll need a boost pressure sensor wired into the ECU guys.

Yeah, I did end up getting the 300. Not selling the gauges just yet, but if/when I do I can give you a shout if you like? If I can afford to I wanna keep them, as they are awesome! New they are about £200 each for digital gauges (the gauges run digitally but display like an analogue gauge, if you get me?), plus £80 the control box, which can run several other gauges too. Greddy pillar pod is rare and expensive also. As far as fitting you plum a vac line in by the throttle body which has a boost sensor which plugs into the control box, then run another cable into the cabin the gauge pod, not too hard.

Explain please Oli. When I try to read boost via OBD port with a laptop my charged car hit peak boost low in the range and held it there to the red line. Can't remember how much boost it said, but I remember knowing that I was making more than indicated.

That would be cool mate. Keep me in the loop. At the moment I've just been looking at cheap ones really but would need a pod as well so not quite sure what to do yet.

if you read boost via the OBDII with a charger it shows you what the ecu sees which is a clipped signal thanks to the black box or fcd
