I just bought my second Lex after accidentally modifying the front end the last one .
anyway on a test drive of the new one all seemed well on a drive round my village, but on the way into work this morning I noticed a grumbling noise from the front end that gets louder in bends and quieter in a straight line.
could this be wheel bearings or something more sinister?
any help greatly appreciated as I am in no way mechanical.

It sounds like it could be a wheel bearing. Does it sound more if you turn left than if you turn right or vice versa?

Jack the car up and spin one of the front wheels by hand. Feel the spring while the wheel is spinning. If the wheel bearing is bad the spring will vibrate slightly. Try both sides, of course Smile

Does it happen on different road surfaces? Mine sounds shocking on certain road surfaces, but all the bearings were tight. Turns out it was the cheapo tyres I was running.

No it not the tyres mate.
Seems to be ok when driving straight but my road to work is rather bendy so it changes the noise it makes constantly
