My Toyota MR2 build thread - 1994 GT-S
Yeah go on, can you change it to "My MR2 build thread - 1994 GT-S" or something like that.
Over the last few days I've sorted out the wiring for the fan kit (nothing fancy, running constantly on ignition) via the new auxilliary fusebox. I'll build a fan controller for it later, and take some photos for you when I get the car back. I've dropped it off at Pacific Works tonight and should get it back on Tuesday.
:thumbup1:
I've taken your lead and written a list of jobs to do.
It freaking HUGE!!!!
decided not going to buy anything new (thats not essential) till ive completed all the mods i already have lol
thread changed as well mate
I am thinking of some new cams for mine, I have been looking and 264's look good????? any advice??????
What made you think about changing the cams, are you looking to alter the driveability or just after more power? What ECU do you run, cause you'll need to play with the timing a fair bit to make it idle cleanly with big cams. I guess if Ryan did it it's either a Link or a Solaris?
IMHO it's not worth playing with cams until you're a bit further up the modification chain (you can push 350 at the fly with stock internals). Then again I'm not sure how much space you've got for a bigger turbo, and you're probably talking more manifold fabrication... ok I'm starting to see why you were asking about cams
264s are good and require less fiddling to make the drive good, 272s are a bit too extreme and those are the only 2 sizes readily available. While you're in there sort the shims out in the head and raise the rev limit to 8000rpm
