steviewevie Put HIDs in your headlamps , they'll be what you're using most of the time, and it's illegal to drive round with your fog lights on when there's no fog. By all means go for the fogs as well to complete the look though.

Have a look at the Ace Cafe if you like, to see the difference between headlamp HIDs and halogens.

You can also put main beam HIDs in too, some people (e.g. Wozza) have that, though I don't.

Yeah I think that should do... erm and I'll get those rings too, I think I'll have to get someone to fit it thought...cause when I fitted them on my last car the wires were everywhere and it made it look untidy...not good at keeping things tidy under the hood...

HIDs are very very easy to fit. Usually on the IS200 though, you have to connect things up with reversed polarity (e.g. install the connectors between HID ballast and bulb back-to-front) for some reason to make it work. Basically you can try it the "normal" way and if that doesn't work, simply reverse the connection (just un-plug and re-plug, not talking about anything complicated here).

IS200 Turbo project now just about complete ! See my thread here and leave your comments.
Now running standalone Syvecs ECU and no stock ECU !

If you want to fit something like that in the rear lights, you need to carefully cut them open with something like a Dremel, and then re-seal them when done.

Yeah I know they are extremely easy to fit...but it's all the hiding the wires and placing of the balasts...I'd prefer it to look OEM...but knowing me and my clumsyness at DIY it would be wires caught up in the timing belt:cursing:

It's easy on the passenger side, there's loads of room for a ballast and you can tidy away the wires with a cable tie.

On the driver's side there's a lot less room, but you can still squeeze in a ballast and similarly just use cable ties to keep things relatively tidy.

Yep AAC do some pretty nice stuff, spoke to them a while back but when you factor in the shipping and all that it was looking like a lot of money - plus you'd be without headlights for a while so would need to source some spares to use in the meantime or keep the car off the road.

Although if you were interested (as I was) they can't do the gattling gun projectors for RHD, they said they use normal BMW projectors for RHD cars.

It's a shame theres no UK based company that does this...maybe it's a niche?
