iLLzLex It's a shame theres no UK based company that does this...maybe it's a niche?

Yeah I'd imagine there isn't as much of a market for something like that over here - anyone who's interested though could probably get in touch with them to see if they were interested in franchising?

Yeah possible..but that would involve a hell of a lot of market research all across auto club forums etc...
Do you think that if I fit 6000k HIDs at dipped beam and get 6000k angel rings to glue on will they be visible? Or should I get the 8000k rings?

Yep it would do, personally don't think it would be worth the hassle........

8000K might look good with a bluer halo around the whiter headlights - although the angel eyes do look best with the headlights off so prob best to go for the colour that looks best when they're on show rather than worrying about the headlights Smile

If you're getting the really thin ones (CCFL i think) be careful as I think they snap quite easily.

Marsdendean I was also wondering this. When steve said you cant really see the LED lightstips, i thought about Projector lights, but couldnt find any!

Projectors or angel-eyes/halos ?

Don't think you'd be able to see angel-eyes/halos no matter what sort of headlamp you've got if it's got a HID in it. Just like the LED "lightbrows" like mine, they look best when you're just running sidelights (i.e. with the halos if you have them wired as sidelights).

I might have misunderstood what you meant though !

IS200 Turbo project now just about complete ! See my thread here and leave your comments.

Not sure if we're talking about the same thing here. Projector headlamps are the sort with a dome-shaped lens at the front, not just a bulb sat inside a big reflector. Diagrams from Wikipedia, conventional reflector :

Projector :

Example of a projector headlamp :

Are you not just talking about the halo rings around the outside of the lens, like BMWs use ? Sorry, I'm not sure what the headlamps of the current GS range look like. And sorry if I'm completely misunderstanding you here.

If you wanted projectors for a RHD IS then you'd probably need a custom-made job.

There are some projector ones around on eBay, but they're from the US, so they almost certainly won't have the right beam pattern for RHD.

Would be good if someone could find some projector headlamps from Japan ?
