loss of boost and screeching
Stage 2 upgrade all done but when i put foot down and get high boost it sounds like a loud screech or bypass vale realising air and my boost is halfed on the gauge am still pulling forward but it sounds awfull and that much boost loss its as if i am running stage 1 set up.
I am going to get anti slip spray for belt tomorrow but i am lost. If foot is down surly no pressure at bypass valve will cause it to open?

Check the signal line to it to see if it's split.

Check the signal line to it to see if it's split.

20-12-2022, 05:15 AM #4I use bypass valve. From mini cooper i read that if it sounds like dump valve then its not recating quick enough and thats what it is doing. It always made that noise but now its alot worse. I did just use anti slip belt spray and i think it is better that wjat it was but all keep an eye on it. Is there any better bypass valves out there that i can put on. I tried a ssvq but it wouldn't blow off at all so went back to bypass valve.
How do the valve close? Is it spring or the reference line?

Or your belt is sleeping...I faced this problem when I fitted the 160mm pulley. The belt slipped at high revs and the boost dropped. When this happened I could herer a squiking noise. Problem was solved by placind a rubber film on the belt to minimize slip.

21-12-2022, 02:09 AM #7dimis this is what's happening to me, where did you get the film, I used anti slip again last night and the car drove great full boost but today not as much and am guessing I will have to keep apply this spray.
