Neither did I, and to be honest if you'd just sent me the eBay link I'd have written it off straight away. However my friend Chris has pretty high standards and he says it's great so that's good enough endorsement for me!

Yeah. The one I've got is one that has been 'opened by accident' (yeah right) which was cheaper still. There's an optional controller unit which as far as I can work out replaces the Off|1|2 buttons with dials so you can variably set the temperature but they seem quite large and I'm not really sure where I'd put them! I think the switches that come with the standard kit will fit in the gearstick trim, but we'll see when it turns up!

This was a nice simple job. The front foglight switch has 4 wires going to it, a +ve and -ve for the bulb in the switch and then a +ve and a wire to the relay for the switch to connect together. Both +ve's are only active when the lights are on, for obvious reasons. So I spliced into 3 of them and then have run a new wire to the rear of the car for the relay. Job's a goodun.

Loom butchery:

Back together (not very neat I admit):

Which one wasn't there originally?

Indicator light in dash!

For some reason the indicator light goes out when I start the car! But that's easily resolved...

I've just had a quick flick through some wiring diagrams and it looks like the blank space I've used is occupied by the overdrive light on automatics rather than traction control as I originally thought. The reason it goes off when I start the engine is due to it only receiving a ground from the starter check relay (you know how when you click the ignition on your warning lights come on but when you start the car they go out? that one) so I need to find it a better ground. Instrument cluster out again then... sigh!
