Really sorry to hear about this, such a shame when the project showed so much promise. It's this sort of thing that puts me off this sort of conversion so big respect to those of you who take it on, but I was really impressed at how easy and painless Stav's conversion appeared to be!

Nooooo don't sell the car, not after you've put in all this money and effort so far - you need to be able to enjoy it!

You're probably right about the hire car though, might be worth buying an old banger for a few hundred quid to use until the IS is sorted out.........don't lose faith, this will all be a distant memory soon enough I'm sure Smile

Marsdendean it is a shame. Its quite new one aswell, and it amazes me that when you play about with these cars how unreliable they become.

if you cant afford anymore money, why not stick it in a garage and leave it for a few month??

I can't park it up for a few months because I need a car to get to and from work so at the moment I am using my income from my Turkish holiday home to pay for the Lex, robbing Peter and paying Paul as it were.

Once all the weak points are identified and sorted it will be OK, I am just frustrated with the situation, a situation that was predicted I know!!!!

What makes it worse is the hire car is a vectra......................... I would do a vehicle report but it would be very short -

DJ Wozza Really sorry you are still having problems Phil. They don't seem to be doing themselves any favours
in the customer relations/feedback stakes.

you could say that.

A cheap runabout that you can hopefully sell again and get most/all of your money back definitely sounds like a good solution compared to a hire car. But you shouldn't be in this situation in the first place. Hope they get back to you very soon.

IS200 Turbo project now just about complete ! See my thread here and leave your comments.
Now running standalone Syvecs ECU and no stock ECU !
