You might think that but I plugged it into the alarm today and it didn't work. I reckon the TOAD LED might be common anode where the Maplin LED is common cathode. Just gonna redo the board with the TOAD LED as I removed it in one piece.

ARGH and now I just ripped the boost gauge off the IC

Edit: Yep, as I thought the TOAD LED is common anode GRR. I am so mad about the boost gauge, it took me ages to get that right. Today is not going well.

I have decided to shelve the MR2 project for a bit. I need to concentrate on getting myself debt free this year, and that's not going to happen while all my cash is going into the Toyota money pit. I've not yet decided whether to keep the TD06 or to flog it and buy another turbo next year. I have bought the supporting components for most of the stuff listed above so I'll still finish off a good chunk of the list.

TD06's are small and really efficient. About the same size as the Toyota CT2x series turbos but good for like twice the horsepower. My one has a 20g impellor wheel in it (largest one they do IIRC) and is an externally 'gated one as well so I've got the Tial wastegate to go with it for some screamer pipe action.

hmm, possibly a bit small for my use then? what sort of power is it rated for?

It's this one

http://www.atsracing.net/ats_racing_td06...er_kit.htm

ATS claim 250-500bhp @ fly with that turbo on the MR2. That's at some quite high pressures though.

So how much would a 2nd hand one go for....... My Tubby is pretty well maxed out at the moment:thumbdown:
