Evening all,

I've just changed my plugs over but after turning the engine over the Engine Management Light has lit up on the dash:cursing:. I've reset the ECU a couple of times but no joy, Its seems to be ticking over okay bar the idle because of the reset.

Does anyone know how I've cocked up ?:Chair::Chair:

Cheers

Check all the leads are plugged in properly to the coil packs, it's probably something not quite connected back up again. Did you reconnect the tubing that you might have removed from the airbox when you tooko that off ?

IS200 Turbo project now just about complete ! See my thread here and leave your comments.
Now running standalone Syvecs ECU and no stock ECU !

The tubing is on the airbox, i did notice the air inlet sensor was not quite on after turning it over. I reconneted it and reset the ECU again but still no joy:cursing:

Double-check the coil packs and their connections. Have you got a code reader to check the code that's coming up ?

If the problem is still there after checking the connections (and hopefully it won't be and it's just a loose connection), then it might be that one of the coil packs has failed as it has been disturbed. Were you quite gently with them when you took them out and put them to one side ? You'll need to get the code read if it's still doing it after you've double-checked and done an ECU reset.

Sorry to sound like I'm doubting you, but you're taking out the correct fuses for the ECU reset, right ? i.e. the ECTS and EFI ones ?

I was very gentle with the coil packs after taking them out, and I've taken the two fuses out for around a minute as the reset walk through suggests. Fingers crossed its just a connection coz I think the OEM coil packs are over a ton :cursing:

:lol::lol: I've stopped having kittens now as the light has dropped off. The little plastic retaining clip on the air inlet sensor is broken so I've pushed it tight on and wrapped a bit of tape around it. Reset the ECU again and the management light has goooooone :w00t:

Cheers for the top notch walk through Steviewevie, and ta everyone for the support:lol:

Off to lower the pulse now with a bottle or 3 :drink: :drink: :drink:
