Front fog not working.
Front fog not working.
My front fogs have stopped working, have checked the fuse and it's fine, not checked the bulbs yet but not sure if both would go at the same time or whether they've blown seperately as i've only just noticed, never use the fogs but it'll be an MOT issue so any clues if it's not the bulbs? maybe the control stork?
Cheers.
Don't think front fogs will be an MoT issue, front fogs aren't a requirement to be fitted on a car.
Does the front fog warning light on the dash come on when you switch them on ? Do the tail lights work ok ? How about the relay, there's a front fog relay involved too.
Everything else works, no warning lights nothing, it's probably the bulbs but just wanted a heads up if it's not, as for the MOT I thought they had to be working if there fitted
I'm pretty sure it's just rear fog lamps, see the MoT Tester's manual here.
The front fogs are notorious for getting corroded, you might want to see how the back of the connectors looks. Also perhaps test there with a multimeter to see if you've got any current getting there.
If the light isn't coming on in the dash then that's kind of odd, may be worth checking the relay.
Cheers Stevie.
Ok update, still not working it's not the fuse, not the bulbs, not the control stork because the the little light that says the fogs are on comes on when I turn the switch, checked the conections they seem fine so i'm stumped, i've nothing to test if there's any power going them so don't really know what to do now, also does anyone know if the front fogs are for some strange reason linked to the light in the boot because that's stopped working aswell and thats not the bulb either.
ive been told that they corrode behind the light andy so check the connections behind
