26-01-2017, 03:23 AM #3You can get tools to securely wipe the hard drive if you want to, i.e. so no-one can have a chance of getting data back from it, even with recovery tools.
Google for "secure disc erase" or similar.

I'm not sure you can technically completely wipe a hard drive unless you write over whatever was there, and even then traces are left behind. If there's any sensitive data on it prob best to replace the hard drive, depends how hard you need to hide what's on it.

Bandit Have you still got the recovery disc mate? on mine if i insert the disc i get an option to factory reset and puts it back to how it came out of the box?
