Ive found a plate i want for £185
what does it cost to register it and where does it have to be registered??

It cost £80 to transfer the plate to your car. You should recieve a form when you buy the plate, then you send the form with relevent paperwork to DVLA along with the £80.

If i buy one fore £250 from the DVLA reg site all costs are included and they send me the V750, then i just have to have the plate made up.
Take the plate and V750 to the local DVLA to register it apparently.
So £300 tops??

Shy boys don't get sweeties.
Once you have the plate and if/when you buy a new car and want to change the plate, then you will have to pay a transfer charge to move it to your new car. This happens everytime you move the plate from one car to the next.

04-03-2017, 02:41 AM #9Remember it will also cost £105 when you remove the plate to have a replacement re-allocated to the car, but the £105 includes the £80 to re-assign the personal plate to a different car - should you sell the car.
