3S-GTE's have a habbit of jumping teeth, mine did that - cured with a new OEM one.

Went to Rogue Motorsport in Kenilworth today to get my ongoing brake problems resolved. Basically since I 1st removed one of the calipers I can stand on the brake pedal with both feet, lifting myself out of the seat and the car still won't lock up. It's been pressure bled, master cylinder changed, braided hoses fitted etc etc... to no avail.

Turns out that all they had to do was adjust the pushrod length on the pedal and now the brakes are amazing again! So um, I dropped the ball on that one a little bit! At least I can flog my old master cylinder now.

I nearly put myself through the windscreen on the way home too! I reckon if my brakes were this good in December 2008 I wouldn't have driven into the back of that Vectra...

Also got them to check the ignition timing with a light and it's fine so I will give the car a good service and see if my problems go away. Then Patrick showed me some of their more interesting project cars and filled me in on a few motorsport projects so we may be in for an interesting year Smile

Good news that you got the brakes sorted at last. But I guess the search goes on to figure out why your last dyno run was 20bhp down ?

Yeah. It's got a light misfire at idle and I've not changed the ignition components for at least 5000 miles (if not 7000) so they are well due. I also want to test out my ignitor and my TPS as I am not convinced they are quite right either. More things to do this afternoon, as well as painting / fitting my new rear brake carriers and slider bolts and carrying on with redoing my ICE wiring.

It's all go eh, glad the brakes are good now though it always give you that bit of confidence to go a bit quicker ( or is that a bad thing Smile )

Hope the service sorts out the slight misfire bud.
