well just had my renewal through this morning, another year older and another year of NCB yet my premium has gone up £170????:Chair:

Absolutely outrageous and disgusting from Bell who i've had no problems with so far, ok last year as most know my car was hit in the car park whilst I wasn't in it, the other party claimed full liability and my insurance company said I won't lose my NCB however my premium may be affected which it was come renewal time last year where it went up £40. I was able to live with this as it's not massive but the lady at the other end of the phone did get the sharp end of my tongue one how disgraceful it is that my premium goes up when another party accepts full liability and I wasn't even in the car at the time.

Think a afternoon on comparison sites and maybe a call to Adrian Flux are in order.

Oh and as more insult did a quick quote for a Toyota Supra Twin-Turbo which came to £580, yet Bell are wanting £770 for my IS200:blink:

Always shop around at renewal time mate, most insurance companies will put your premium up anyway, and you'll find a better deal by someone else. Keep switching to keep the costs down, unless your renewal quotes are *very* good.

IS200 Turbo project now just about complete ! See my thread here and leave your comments.
Now running standalone Syvecs ECU and no stock ECU !

lol that's mental Chris.

Ironic thing is last year Bell sent a renewal through and it wasn't that great a quote so I got on confused and got a quote through Admiral who are one and the same and it came out cheaper. I phoned up Bell and said your sister company Admiral are offering me a lot less and Bell honored the quote from Admiral meaning I didn't have to change insurance companies which I was pleased with.

I've just done a quote through confused on my car and Admiral are offering me insurance for £533 and Elephant are offering £535 all 3 companies (Admiral, Bell and Elephant) are the under the same umbrella that's £240 less than what Bell are quoting....think I will be on the phone to Bell with a big WTF question

That seems to be always the way Dan. I bet if you had asked Bell themselves for a quote with the same details, and they'd priced it as a new business quote, it would have been a lot cheaper too.

Sorry to Adrian Flux on here, but an awful lot of people seem to think that we're idiots :confused1:

I get that every year with Admiral, the quote doesn't go up but it doesn't come down as much as it should. A quick check on confused.com brings up a considerably lower quote with an admiral reference number, just ring up, quote that number and tell them to match it which they do with no quibble.

Yes it's annoying they don't offer that price first off, but as long as the end price is low I'm happy Smile
