Bandit Not sure if lexus adjust it/check at a service guys, but it can be adjusted to lift/lower the idle speed?
it has to be moved in very slight increments though to adjust it?
cool will see how it runs after the service first

SHAHZ Chris is that something that would have been touched /adjusted following the cambelt replacement as ive always felt the idle speed was a little low following the 60k service.......also k&n filter was put in......just wondering when did you install your k&n Parth and when did you clean it last??Fitted it last summer, haven't cleaned it yet at all.
Gord Right mate, i've asked Steve and imi's problem was Throttle body, in a nut shell, there are 2 flaps inside the Throttle body, and in imi's case one was not working/opening as it should, he has also had this on another is200 too with loss of powerhock:

parthiban @Shahz: Yep that sounds pretty similar, do you have the same problem of it not having power for a bit on acceleration as well?
Do you mean from standstill? I think it does for a split second if its idling really low

If cleaning the airfilter doesnt sort it, i will try to adjust the idle speed, if that doesnt solve it then it probably as Gord suggests.
@ Gord, when you say power loss do you mean it struggles to get to speed or it cuts out as your coming to a stop/sitting idle?

Parthiban, i cleaned my filter yesterday (http://www.outlawjapclub.co.uk/forum/sho...715&page=2) and it seems to be idling much better, fingers crossed that is why it was cutting out....will keep you posted if it still does....

Sorry when I said next week it wasn't entirely accurate. I'm taking it in tomorrow morning so will hopefully have more to report after that. Having said that, besides still idling about 500rpm, the car has been otherwise fine over the last few days so hopefully there's no real problem.

Raj wouldnt a warning light have come on if its something sinister?reading this thread im slightly worried bout my 128k is200 auto now as its gearbox has been displaying some strange symptoms the last few weeks too but not idle related.
Yep someone mentioned that earlier in the thread, so I'm hoping that the fact I've got nothing is a good sign. However as the problem's been intermittent I'm expecting them to check it out and tell me nothing's wrong - which in this case will be annoying as I'd really like to get it sorted........
