Lack of power
Lack of power
Had it in at Lexus this morning and as I expected they can't find anything wrong. They agreed the idle is a bit low, but not low enough to cause concern.
Only thing they did say is that as I have a "non-restrictive" air filter, it will allow more gunk in (is that true?) so they said if I wanted it I could have the throttle body cleaned for about £100 but they did then say that it's unlikely to help as the sensors are quite sensitive so if there had been a problem it should have thrown up a fault code.
Basically told me to keep an eye on it and call them again if it gets worse. To be fair the car has been behaving itself the last few days so hopefully it was just a temporary glitch
Clean your air filter mate, you can get the kit from ebay or opie, will make a big difference....mine has been running well apart from on sunday the idle ramdamly jerked sharply (dipped) a few times while i was at the lights.....been ok otherwise and it didnt do it again.....might still be a bit of oil in the intake from when i over oiled the filter :blushing:

To be honest i cant remember if my Auto is200 had a sensor fitted to it the sensor is a plug in unit that would go to the Air filter box or induction kits.
If you look at this thread it shown on the induction chrome pipe sitting on the top.
These can get quite dirty so even if it not showing up on the cars ecu it might need a quick clean.
again as said before try borrowing another coil pack and try it in each of the coil packs position to make sure this is not breaking down.
Again this should show up on the engine ecu but it worth a try as well.
