Much better. Looks as thought you will have to refurb your wheel centres soon though, is that a bit of corrosion under the paint that i see?

Yeah they're not perfect but I won't be getting them done. They look great until you get up that close and the premiums applied for getting 3-piece split rims refurbished just isn't worth it.

On my continuing quest to tie up all the little odds and ends on my car I thought I'd order a new filter element for the Apexi induction kit as the old one was just a little bit tatty. It took me a while to find the right one and eventually just ended up ordering one from Japan as it worked out to be the same price as ordering here and I knew it would be right.

Now, obviously apexi have changed the design - my old filter (on the right, obviously) is a 'Super Intake' whereas the new element is a 'Power Intake'. As far as I can work out, the old one is a single funnel style and the new one is a dual funnel style. Not that it matters as you can't buy the old type anymore! The interesting thing to note is that the old one was red once too Smile Definitely time for a replacement!

lol yeah, Apexi reckon you can just run an airduster over it and it's fine. They are supposedly lifetime maintenance free filters!

No such thing, they all need cleaning once or twice a year.

Went to the unit today to pick up some fluids and paint my caliper carriers. 4 hours later....

Amp board refitted with new quick release power connector and trip breaker.
Subs refitted!

First time I have used the new head unit and the new component speakers with my amps and it's great now, so much better than ever before Big Grin

Managed to mask off the important bits of the caliper carriers, rough them up, acid etch them, and do 4 coats of silver hammerite. Left them to cure, will go and flat them down, throw on another coat and then put some clear lacquer on on Saturday and then fit them on Sunday.
