Hello everyone!

I know most of you would have heard/seen about this already but we've decided to start a thread about it!

We have named the car "The Sick Bucket" because the colour reminds us of vomit.

Chris Cowling sent the SXE10 page a message with a link to the gum tree ad and we arranged to buy it the same night.

Me and Ste bought train tickets, got the money together and went down to London the next day, Jay works in London so he picked us up from the train station.

So the 3 of us drove to deepest, darkest Cambridgeshire to an army bomb disposal base and met the seller.

He was a plucky Irishman who obviously didn't know what he had - at one point he asked us:

"EErrrr have yas ever driven fast cars lads?"

To which we replied:

"we all have supercharged IS's already."

So we gave the car a quick once over and handed over the £1750 and he gave us £40 back for fuel - top bloke!

We then went for a KFC, filled the car up and then drove the thing home!

It was NOT a pleasant a drive - a combination of no stereo, no back box, non-adjustable bucket seat, binding brakes and a knackered clutch doesn't make for a car that's nice to drive!

The car popped and banged all the way home!

The car did make it home and then we started breaking it! First thing out was the colour matched interior!

Driving home:

Wow that really is an awful colour,

Bonnet:

Also shows the colour better. It is awful.

Also it was featured in MaxPower in 2005 - the car came with a copy if the magazine (as though that is a good thing)

I like the look of the bonnet, however I have to agree, that colour is vile.

I'm not convinced the bonnet actually belongs on an IS, the fit is horrendous.
