is200 sport Sat Nav usage???
Have not needed to use the cars built in sat nav recently so have had it off and closed. The other day i needed to use it but when it flipped around the screen was black. I drove for about 15mins then pulled over onto the hard shoulder turned the engine of and looked at a map, when i started the engine the sat nav started up like normal.
Should i be keeping the sat nav on all the time even when i don't needed it or is it an electrics problem?
Any advice on the matter will be greatly appreciated, thanks
I get the same problems with mine mate. Sometimes its Blue, Green, Red. I've had mine out several times to have a look. I've aslo spoken with Wozza and Bandit both have said its the Brown connecting lead which you are unable to replace. When i need to use it i turn it on and off until i can see the screen put in the location and go. It will eventually sort itself out and work ok. Hope this helps
So originally when you pressed the map button the screen stayed off, but then after switching the car off and on the screen came on?

Major problems with my blue Lexus x-reg is200 sport (my baby)
Had a car crash last friday.....lost the back end in the wet going around a roundabout! **** & ****** my self!!!!!! Because there was a build up of traffic plus a pelican crossing which two people were waiting to cross.
I slammed the brakes on, the two people heard the tires screeching looked in my direction and jumped back as the back end drifted passed them missing them by inches....did a 180 into an island and lamp post.....the post nearly landed on a car on the opposite side of the road. Think it was definately lucky i didn't kill anyone and didn't hit another car. Had the car towed back home had one of my mates take a look at it.....the damage is as follows:
1. New left hand side door
2. New bottom left TRD skirt
3. New 17 inch five spoke alloy
4. New wish bone
5. New left hand side suspendtion
6. 4 New tires (cam skills website sounds like a good idea)
7. Chasis attention not sure how much yet
8. Tracking, engine check, headlight realinement
Been quoted roughly about £5000.00 so far, would work out cheaper if i could source all the parts myself so if anyone can help i would be forever in your debt!!!!
Not sure whether to keep the car after fixed....its the first time i've had a crash so pretty shook up, not ready to get behind the wheel yet....might just get a skateboard, bus pass or railcard.....lol
