My new phone
My new phone
Well I was looking at the Samsung S, the htc desire, very nice handsets but they just felt to big and cumbersome in my hand, looked at the ip4 and came to the conclusion that everyone has or wants one, a bit like the BMW/Audi syndrome.
So I got myself the new Nokia N8 running the new symbian 3^ software.
The more i use it the more functions I find, like direct HDMI output port, 12m camera, amazing HD video, even found out last night that you can plug in a mouse and external hard drive into the usb port, so so much more to this phone than most people know about.
So in general very pleased, might be worth you guys looking at it before you decide on your next upgrade.
On 3 network, 24 mth contract, free handset. £30pm gives you 5000 texts, 2000 any number calls, 1g internet, 500 mms messages and a free upgrade after 18mths, and a very good strong 3.5g network coverage
Sounds impressive, not entirely necessary but I do like how you can plug in a hard drive or mouse!
Will be interesting to hear a side by side comparison against Oli's iPhone
the mouse is handy when it is wireless and you can play hd vids or music through HDMI on the tv as all the phone is displayed on screen, with 5.1 dolby pro logic surround, so you can sit on settee or wherever and control phone from wireless mouse,
Parthiban, as we know Oli will always say ip4 is superior
3 network?- sorry that's enough to put me off.
Had a bad experience with 3.
What appears to be the prob with the 3 network, the 3g coverage is far superior to O2,
I have had a 3 mifi dongle for 18mths and had no probs at all.
At work I use a o2 internet card for the works laptop and the network coverage is awful, hardly ever get 3g, let alone HSDPA, but on 3 I can travel over 200 miles and never loose 3g.
Oli has the 3 network and he too confirms far superior to O2, so does what appear to be the problem that you guys experience??
no networks guarantees 100% coverage, so every network has its fair share of complainees, you only really get to know good customer service when something goes wrong, so if your network is fine, u don't have to complain, and if you don't have to complain, you don't have anyone to argue with lol, therefore you are completely happy
I work for a phone company, who as a company, genuinely pledge good service, but its the humans delivering that service that don't always live up to the companies expectations
so true fry up,
what company do you work for if you dont mind telling,
I only once had a prob with 3 and it turned out to be a faulty dongle, they sent me a new one in 48hrs and did not want the old one back, so i was a happy customer,
And their loyalty scheme to keep, you does give some very good incentives to stay with them
Reception will of course vary depending on which area you're in. But I've heard people with 3 complain about poor network coverage. Sounds like you've found the opposite though, which is great.
